Dr. Bylsma obtained his doctoral degree at the University of Ottawa, Ottawa Canada (Ph.D.) and then completed a 2 year Post-Doctoral Fellowship at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.  He served on the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences (Division of Medical Psychology, Neuropsychology Service) at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine (1989-1997) and at the Department of Psychiatry, Neuropsychology Service at the University of Chicago (1997-2003).  He has been in full time private practice since January 2004.
 
Dr. Bylsma provides clinical neuropsychological services to children (7+ years of age) , adolescents, adults & seniors. He sees patients at the  Neuropsychological Services offices in Arlington Heights, Chicago & Darien. He is a member of the Allied Health Staff at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago, Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois;  Northwest Community Hospital, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital in Lake forest Illinois and AMITA St. Joseph Presence, Chicago Illinois.
